Overreaction

The Dallas Cowboys have been mediocre at best during the preseason. Yet, on every radio show and every newspaper people are saying that the Cowboys are done, they are overrated, and they just aren't that good.

Really?

What has the record been for the Indianapolis Colts in the preseason? They win 0 to 1 game every year, yet, when the season is over, they have at least 12 wins.

Teams like the Browns, Lions, and Buccaneers needs wins in the preseason. Teams that are breaking in a new quarterback or a coach, they need to win.

Teams like the Colts, Patriots, and yes, the Cowboys, the preseason is more of a chance for players to hit somebody on another team.

I am not saying that they should not execute better, but the same guys that ran a vanilla offense and a non blitzing defense WILL play much better September 12th against the Redskins.

It is the freaking preseason. You should be excited that football is being played, not whining about Tony Romo. Every other sports talk station is saying Romo stinks and that Phillips should be fired, but I say, if you are gonna overreact in a preseason game, then you must sit in timeout for 1 regular season game.

It is not as if Romo is 4 for 17 for 22 yards and 3 interceptions. He is playing a vanilla offense. They are making sure that they do not show their opponents anything.

But I will say this much, this is the ultimate overreaction city, especially when it comes to the Cowboys.

Just remember, it is the preseason. If this lasts into the regular season, I will be the first to rip the team and Wade Phillips, but right now...RELAX.

As always, I would love to get your input. Email me at john@bigbadsportsdaddy.com

Peace Out, John Conner
